Kakashi and I were standing by the memorial for the fallen shinobi.  It was an ugly night as the grey clouds hung in the sky.  Usually I love the rain, but tonight the sky seemed as if it was crying.  Earlier that day when Kakashi was saying Nartuo was just like 'him', my mouth spitted out Obito's name.  Nartuo looked confused, but Kakashi seemed shocked.  I quickly made up an excuse to leave the room.  I spent the rest of the day avoiding Kakashi, but I felt guilty.  When I was walking home I noticed Kakashi visiting the memorial and decided to follow him.
"How did you know about Obito?"  Kakashi said.  I bit my lip and kept my eyes on the ground walking towards him.  I was not from the hidden leaf village.  Hell, I wasn't even from this world.   I gripped onto my umbrella tighter searching for the right words to explain myself.  How do I explain this?  By the way Kakashi where I come from you are a made up fictional character.  I read about your friend Obito in a special Kakashi Gaiden arc!  In fact, many people from my world know about Obito, you are quite the popular character!
"I'm sorry, but does it really matter?"  I slowly looked up at him, "I didn't mean anything by it.  The name kind of slipped from my mouth.  Did…I offend you?"
"No, just a little surprised."  To my surprise he chuckled.
"Good" I smiled a bit bigger.
"All my friends are gone," His mood seemed to darken a bit and I placed my hand on his shoulder.
"You know, I would think wearing a mask would help you hide your emotions.  Unfortunately Kakashi you can be read like an open book."
"Oh?" He looked down at me surprised for the second time today.
"Your eyes, they seem sad.  But not bluntly sad, as if you're trying to hide the sadness." I don't know why I did what I did next, but I placed my forehead on arm.  "Kakashi, it is tough losing a dear friend.  It is almost like time slowly fills the void, but thousands of years could pass and the void will never be filled.  You know what though?"  I lifted my head and smiled warmly.
"What?"
"I believe the spots the void doesn't fill are the beautiful memories!"  I started laughing, "Ugh I sound stupid, but I know what it is like to lose a friend too.  Come on, let us walk and talk."  I gently grabbed his hand and led him up the pathway.  After a few moments I realized I was holding Kakashi's hand and blushed slightly.  Why am I full of sudden impulsions today?!  However, if Kakashi had any objections he did not speak up.
"Ling, where are we going?"
"Um…somewhere out of the rain.  I know!  Want to grab a drink?"

To be continued<b>
